Boston West Fair Skies

All,

We might be weather-lucky and therefore enjoying a very quiet skies morning today (July 14, 2017) but please remember what we’ve lived under for the past few years and more so the last few months courtesy of the combo RNAV/runway-renovation-at-Logan.

This requires action TODAY and every day for the next few days. Please call/email your representative TODAY and every day until Wednesday.

I just called 202-224-3121 ( at 8:40 a.m.). For Representatives I had to choose 2. Then I was asked to put in my zip code. I was then connected to Katherine Clark’s office. I left a VM message. I plan to also send an email.

The script (this one is better for emails, on the phone you can do variations of this – keep it short and simple): “PLEASE TELL REP. X I ASK HIM/HER TO SUPPORT THE POLIS AMENDMENT TO THE FAA REAUTHORIZATION BILL. Our local governments need to be able to adopt sensible noise regulations to protect our communities from excessive aviation noise.  Without this amendment, they will continue to be prevented by the FAA from adopting any noise regulations. We can’t live under this constant noise bombardment anymore. THANK YOU.”
