Help us spread the word! Please print and distribute flyers in your neighborhood,  on parks' bulletin boards and any other high traffic areas in your cities and towns.

about no fly day

This great initiative was started by citizens groups in Santa Cruz and MSN (Minneapolis/St. Paul). The organizers have agreed that this will be a multi-year event, so look again for it next year.

For more information please visit the event's website: www.noflyday.org

What you can do right now:

  1. Sign the pledge to NOT fly on October 24.  Make sure all your household members sign the pledge as well. This is very important as we are trying to make a statement with the number of signatures on this pledge.
  2. Get a few neighbors to sign the pledge as well. Be persistent, every pledge matters.
  3. Plan to attend our protest in Boston. We have confirmed with the State House and Boston PD that we are allowed to have a peaceful protest on the sidewalk in front of the State House.
  4. Help us bring media to the protest to increase our visibility. Contact your local News stations.
  5. Make sure you are part of our Google Group or Facebook so you can stay informed.

THANK YOU FOR HELPING US MAKE THIS A SUCCESS!

Boston West Fair Skies

bwfs september monthly meeting flyer and no fly day website snapshot included in Power point presentation for airport executives as example of serious concerns

It seems that airlines executives are starting to get word of the fact that we are getting well organized and that the information is spreading faster than ever between us and between groups at national level. Instead of looking into ways to work with the FAA and address the noise issue, they are working on ways to dismantle our increasingly effective communication system which seems to be clearly considered a threat.

Let's hope that our No Fly Day protests will increase our visibility a step further!
